Even with the restrictions caused by the pandemic, our small family managed to have a lovely and festive Christmas celebration. Although we truly missed gathering together with extended family, we seemed to treasure our simple holiday even more because of it. Scrappy Binding Attached from Wedding Dress Blue

These two little quilts were made by a different member of Sparkle Jane’s (Daughter) charity sewing group.

But, we did the binding, using our scrappy binding bundles.

Hard Times... from Sew Sunshine

abound right now so I am looking at today as a small win. I have not been sewing hardly at all in the last few months. My eyes and other issues have not been great. I am to the point right now where I feel I either do what I can while I can or quit. I don't want to quit. I have been able to read on my tablet with the lighting on it set to a mild bright.

Sewn up in a sunny collection like this, Star Watch becomes a happy, scrappy jelly roll quilt. Simple log cabins provide the foundation for the quilt, while a row of sunny stars adds a playful twinkle.

Calico Days was released by Lori Holt a few years ago, but she has numerous collections that are just as darling. Any vintage-inspired fabric lines would shine with this pattern.
